Shakshouka (North Africa)

A one-skillet marvel, Shakshouka is perfect for breakfast or dinner. Eggs poach in a rich tomato and pepper sauce with bold spices.

Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs

  • 4 tomatoes, chopped

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 bell pepper, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp paprika, cumin

  • Salt, pepper, olive oil

Instructions:

  1. SautΓ© onion, garlic, and pepper in oil. Add tomatoes and spices.

  2. Simmer until thickened.

  3. Make wells and crack eggs into them. Cover and cook until eggs are set.

  4. Serve with warm bread.
