Trace Awards & Festival

As a continent‑spanning celebration of Afro music and culture, the Trace Awards & Festival paired a summit with a glamorous awards night at the luxurious Mora Zanzibar in late February.
The live performances were star-studded: Rema, Yemi Alade, Diamond Platnumz, Alikiba, Zuchu, Marioo, and Nandy from East Africa, along with iconic Congolese hitmakers Fally Ipupa, Innoss’B, and Gaz Mawete. From Kenya’s Bien to Senegal’s Wally Seck, it was a musical mosaic reflecting Africa’s vibrant sonic heritage.
Beyond the stage, the summit fostered conversations on industry growth, pan-African collaboration, and cultural impact—showcasing Afro-centric excellence across 28 award categories and a global audience reach of over 500 million en.wikipedia.org.
