Mawazine Festival

Mawazine—formally Mawazine-Rythmes du Monde—is Morocco’s flagship global music festival, returning for its 19th edition in June 2025 with a mission to democratize world music for its audience.

 What Makes Mawazine Special

  • One of the largest music festivals globally, drawing over 2.5 million attendees across seven stages; in 2019, it hosted 2.75 million visitors.

  • Operates under patronage of King Mohammed VI, and is overseen by Maroc Cultures.

  • Unites cultures by offering 90% free concerts alongside ticketed main-stage performances .

 2025 Lineup Highlights

  • K‑pop milestone: ATEEZ becomes the festival’s first-ever K‑pop act, headlining the OLM Souissi main stage on June 23, performing to over 100K+ fans.

  • Global DJ presence: House legend Marc Kinchen (MK) is set for a 9 pm EDM set on June 29.

  • Arab and international mix: Expect appearances from Lebanese artist Marwan Khoury, emerging Moroccan talents, and possibly Moroccan diva Samira Said.

 Cultural Impact

  • Brings global acts like Whitney Houston, The Chainsmokers, Mariah Carey, Sting, and Carlos Santana to Rabat in past editions.

  • Recent testimonials span from Seun Kuti to Luis Fonsi, who praised the festival’s crowd and inclusive spirit.

Running nearly nine days, Mawazine transforms Rabat into a buzzing nexus of sounds and cultures—bridging Arab world traditions, global pop, K‑pop, EDM, and more, with huge audience accessibility and majestic stage settings.
