Called “Africa’s Grandest Gathering,” this 22nd edition of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival built on its new theme “Legacy Meets Tomorrow”. Held at the CTICC, it brought a blend of heritage voices and rising virtuosos, all while contributing to over 31,000 jobs and hosting more than 3,700 masterclass beneficiaries since its inception.
The captivating lineup includes electronic-jazz titan Black Coffee with pianist Nduduzo Makhathini, Afro-soul icon Thandiswa Mazwai, and rising stars like Kyle Shepherd Trio, Benjamin Jeptha, Ari Lennox, Plurism, Bombay Lights, and more.
It’s a balanced mix of tradition and innovation, with orchestral collaborations, free-flowing improvisation, and deep cultural narratives—all in South Africa's picturesque “Mother City.”
